I wanted to enjoy this book more but when Our Marriage is Murder ventured outside of the mystery path and into a psychological trip at times, the book completely lost me. I would get frustrated in those parts and even found myself wanting to jump ahead just to get out of those scenes. I did find the relationship between Fred and Thea interesting and was surprised by the direction their story went as the book progressed. For the other characters though, I felt that I never really knew them. The story for them was lacking.
Overall, I think the book was “good” but I wouldn’t say this was something that I would recommend to a friend if they were searching for their next book.
I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
